Here is my dear hubby pressure washing our grass. Yes, you read that right. Only in New Mexico would you have to pressure wash your yard. The wind has blown so much that all the dirt from the neighboring construction sites has settled into our yard. The dirt was almost 6 inches higher than our driveway and it was killing our grass. I tried to rake it out, sweep it out, and scrape it out. Nothing seemed to work. So out came the pressure washer. We cleaned the side closest to our drive way before it got dark. We should be in the 70's tomorrow so I am hoping he will be able to finish it this weekend.

ReplyDeleteHah! That is just remarkable. I hate mowing, so I think I would have just thrown some veggie/flower seeds in the dirt and prayed that they would overtake the grass. :D
ReplyDeleteCat - I thought about it! I would rather have flowers too, But the dirt had covered the sprinkler system and I am very spoiled to my sprinlkers!
ReplyDeleteYou have dirt, I have pine cones/needles/boughs! We've cleaned up our front yard three times in the past month, and the driveway, flower bed and rain gutters are full once again :-( Sometimes I am so tempted to cut down our pine trees....but of course I won't.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could have pine trees! If Dallas touches a pine tree he breaks out in blisters. I never thought of the mess they would make. I guess not having them isn't too bad. ;)
