The first Cabbage of the year! It was wonderful. We baked it last night with a little butter, salt, and pepper. |
this is a really nice harvest! I've never had just plain baked cabbage, I might have to try that this winter.
ReplyDeleteBaked cabbage is our favorite way to eat it and it is so easy.
DeleteGorgeous! Love that cabbage and beautiful onions and garlic!
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteNice harvest! Tell Dallas Granny said he did a great job on those carrots. I think he's going to be a "Master Gardener" when he grows up!
ReplyDeleteGreat harvest!! I will have to give baked cabbage a try we've never had it that way. How long do you bake it for and at wat temperature?
ReplyDeleteI usually cut it into four sections and place it in a dish with a lid. Then I add a little butter (maybe 3 or 4 Tablespoons)salt and peper. Bake it at 350 degrees until it is very tender. It usually takes 30 to 45 mins. It is so easy.
DeleteIn all the years I have grown cabbage, I don't think I have ever had plain baked cabbage! I am going to have to give that a whirl as yet another way to serve up cabbage which is a garden staple in our growin region.
